Tegula Block Paving Driveway, Gravesend

Tegula Block Paving Driveway, Gravesend

Darren and Carla wanted to replace their old, dated driveway at their property in Gravesend with a more attractive and practical surface. The existing concrete paving slabs had become stained and difficult to maintain, with some areas also creating trip hazards.

The project began with the removal of the existing concrete paving slabs, clearing the old driveway and creating a clean area ready for the new installation.

The ground was then prepared and new driveway foundations were installed. Good groundwork is essential for a durable block paving installation, providing a stable base capable of supporting regular vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Before the new paving was laid, weed-resistant sand was applied as part of the preparation process. This helped create a suitable bedding layer for the new blocks while helping to reduce future weed growth between the paving.

The new Tegula block paving driveway was then installed, creating a traditional and attractive finish with a more contemporary appearance than the old concrete surface. A matching block paved path was also laid, providing a coordinated route alongside the driveway and completing the frontage.

The finished driveway has completely transformed the entrance to Darren and Carla’s property. The Tegula block paved surface is easier to maintain and provides a much more attractive approach to the home.
